摘要：Este artículo tiene por objeto describir los efectos que la evolución de las transiciones demográfica y epidemiológica, experimentadas por la población del Estado de Chiapas, han ejercido sobre la evolución de la esperanza de vida de la población. Partimos del hecho de que ambas transiciones han provocado importantes transformaciones en la estructura por edad y sexo de la población y han reconfigurado el perfil epidemiológico de este estado. Chiapas tiene hoy la esperanza de vida más baja de todo México. La interacción de los efectos de ambas transiciones tendrá sin duda importantes repercusiones sobre la calidad y los niveles de morbi-mortalidad de todos los chiapanecos, por lo que consideramos importante analizar las capacidades, recursos, estrategias y la responsabilidad del Sistema de Salud de Chiapas para afrontar los retos señalados.
其他摘要：This paper aims to describe the effects that the evolution of the demographic and epidemiological transitions experienced by the population of Chiapas's State have exerted on the evolution of the life expectancy of the population. We start from the fact that both transitions have caused important transformations in the structure by age and sex of the population and have reconfigured the epidemiological profile in the entity. Chiapas has today the lowest life expectancy in all Mexico. The effect's interaction of both transitions will undoubtedly have important repercussions on the quality and levels of morbi-mortality of all Chiapanecos, so we consider important to analyze the capabilities, resources, strategies and accountability of Chiapas's Health System to meet the identified challenges.
