其他摘要:Despite Cao Yu’s reputation as an outstanding dramatist in China, not many researches have been done on his Chinese version of Romeo and Juliet. Based on the definition of drama and main features of dramatic translation from the perspective of dramatic language, audience orientation, performance orientation and presence orientation, this paper analyzes the translation of some characters’ names to illustrate that Cao Yu’s version is most suitable for stage performance.
