摘要：As relações entre profissionais da saúde e pacientes há tempos vêm sendo discutidas e pode-se dizer, consolidou a existência de dois grupos sociais distintos - o primeiro representado por pessoal acadêmico e técnico e o segundo por pessoas da população em geral - com características diferentes, com seus próprios conhecimentos, informações, modos de pensar e desenvolvimento cognitivo. Ao primeiro grupo cabe uma fala legal e autorizada, enquanto ao segundo uma fala ilegal e desautorizada. Sendo assim, na busca de estabelecer uma melhor relação entre os diferentes atores, há necessidade de se trabalhar em uma lógica diferente para que a relação também possa vir a ser diferente. A alternativa seria por meio da comunicação em saúde, mas não como uma mera transmissão de informações, mas como uma produção interativa em que todas as partes envolvidas aprendem independente da posição ocupada, se cientista ou leigo. Abstract: Relationships between health professionals and patients have been discussed for a long time and it can be say, has consolidated the existence of two distinct social groups - the first represented by academic and technical personnel and the second for people in the general population - with different characteristics, with their own knowledge, information, ways of thinking and cognitive development. The first group is a legal and authorized speaking, while the second one is illegal and unauthorized. Therefore, in seeking to establish a better relationship between the different actors, there is need to work on a different logic so that the relationship can also be different. The alternative would be by means of health communication but not as a mere information transmission, but as an interactive production where all involved parties learn regardless of the position occupied, whether scientist or lay person.
