摘要：O objetivo deste artigo é caracterizar a figura dos sacerdotes supremos do Candomblé Jejê-Nagô do Brasil, bem como as principais práticas de atendimento utilizadas por eles para promover a saúde, prevenir e lidar com a doença. No Brasil estes sacerdotes vêm se responsabilizando pelo atendimento a uma grande demanda por busca de alívio e ou tratamento no âmbito da doença, oferecendo, através de uma orientação transcendente, elementos para organizar a experiência caótica do sofredor e daqueles diretamente envolvidos no caso.
其他摘要：The aim of this article is to characterize lhe supreme priests of Candomblé Jêje-Nagô in Brazil and their main treatment practices to promete health assistance and to preveni and copo with illness. In Brazil, these priests are responsible for treatments of an enormous quantity of persons seeking for help and/or cure for their diseases or suffering. Candomblé’s supreme priests offer, by ways of a transcendental orientation, important elements that help organizing the chaotic experience of people who suffer fromvarious diseases and others (families, friends) that are directly involved with them.
