摘要：The fundamental role of axiological education in sports training is discussed with emphasis on Humanism, which makes possible to enhance the values on which social progress is sustained, meaning the importance of the Pedagogical Science for the formation of values established by the National Institute of Sport and Recreation in athletes of the Integrated Sports Schools. The axiological training of the athlete is designed as a process in which the subject with his physical and intellectual abilities develop his spirituality, according to the aspirations of the Cuban society; so that, this becomes a process of spiritual production. Contradictions that are currently on the basis of educational processes in the sports institution are revealed, realizing the need for further study of the athletes' axiological education.
