摘要：Census data from the First National Census (1869) of Saint Vincent Partido (Buenos Aires) will allow us to address a number of aspects regarding the population, such as productive activities and their development from the early nineteenth century onwards. These aspects will be analysed by parameter, including place of residence (rural or urban), gender and birth place. Beyond purely quantitative aspects, levels of illegitimacy and literacy, type of dwelling and areas of residence will also allow us to understand what lies beneath certain present-day cultural issues, thereby providing a better picture of this rural area at the time when immigrants began to enter the country en masse.
