摘要:We treated wastewater from a “Kamaboko” processing plant using the batch-type activated sludge process and carried out kinetic analysis in order to obtain reactor basin design considerations. BOD removal was represented well in terms of first-order reaction kinetics and the calculated value of the BOD removal coefficient was 3.03×10-3 (1/mgSS·hr). Biomass growth coefficient and biomass-decay coefficient were 0.12 (mgSS/mgBOD) and 0.038 (1/day), respectively. Also, the oxygen uptake rate for growth and its endogenous respiration were 0.78 (mgO2/mgBOD) and 0.033 (mgO2/mgSS·day), respectively.
