摘要:Forty-eight cultured sea breams were obtained from eight sea regions mainly from the western part of Japan. Various tissues were separated from the fish, and the contents of tocopherol (Toc) were analyzed using high performance liquid chromatography. 1) Toc, detected in any of the tissues of the sea bream, was only of the α-form, and its content had a tendency to vary according to the region which the fish were grown. Furthermore, the content of Toc in the liver correlated to a significant degree with that in the adipose tissue. In general, the contents of Toc in the liver and adipose tissue had a tendency to be higher that in any of the other tissues. 2) In gonad of the sea bream, the content of Toc for the female group was suggested to be essentially higher than that for the male group, when compared by means of “exploratory data analysis”. However, in the liver or any of the other tissues, the content of Toc did not show such a tendency to become higher the growth in body length that was observed in the certain tissues of yellowtail in the previous report.
