摘要:The purpose of this paper is to investigate whether or not the drinking of alcohol and smoking of cigarettes have an influence on the health indices of medical examinations for middle-aged men working in a city. Following results were obtained: 1) In the group of non-smokers, habitual drinking of alcohol elevated the levels of systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, HDL-cholesterol, uric acid, and γ-GTP, lowerig those of ZTT, AL-P. 2) In the group of non-drinkers, cigarette smoking raised the levels of white blood cell, hematocrit, and it dropped those of systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, HDL-cholesterol, uric acid, GOT, and total protein. 3) When the subjects both drank alcohol and smoked cigarettes, a high-level of triglyceride was observed, and the low-levels of creatinine and red blood cell were seen.
