摘要:Migration of formaldehyde and evaporation residues into food-simulating solvents from 35 food-contact paper products were examined by extracting with water at 60°C for 30min or with n-heptane at 25°C for 60min. The mean of the pH values of the water extracts was 6.2, ranging from 4.0-7.8. The mean value (min to max) for the extractable formaldehyde was 4.23mg (0.26-87.70mg)per kg of the paper products. This value corresponds to the mean of 4.08mg (0.09-32.20mg) per 100cm2 of the oneside surface area of the products. Evaporation residues from the water extracts yielded 2, 244mg (680-8, 190mg) per kg or 5.13mg (0.22-36.2mg) per 100cm2. Evaporation residues from the n-heptane extract yielded 1, 648mg (62-9, 260mg) per kg or 4.84mg (0.04-40.90mg) per 100cm2. Some of the water extracts with high values of evaporation residues were observed to have high absorbance in the UV-spectrum. When the paper products were heated at 100°C in vials and the head space gas was analyzed by gas chromatography with two types of column packing materials, few peaks were observed in one-third of the samples tested. However, various volatile substances were detected in the remaining two-third.
