摘要:The changes of growth and the fatty acid composition was investigated in the cells of Rhodosporidium sphaerocarpum IFO 1438 grown in NaCl-free and 1M NaCl environment. Optimal growth was observed in 0.5M NaCl concentrations in medium and salt resistant growth was seen in 3.5M NaCl concentrations. In the composition of fatty acids, 16:0, 18:0 and 18:1 decreased in salt environment but 18:2 and 18:3 increased, especially, it was seen typically in 18:3 in fatty acid composition. These results show that the changes of fatty acids composition may be required for growth of Rhodosporidium sphaerocarpum in NaCl hypertonic environment.
