摘要:(A) The absorbing capacity of electrolyzed alkaline solution for sulfur dioxide in air during electrolysis of sea water was examined. The absorbing capacity was found to be well enough and better at room temperature than the higher. From the above results, according to the result of (A), flue gas should be preliminarily cooled. In case of sea water used, a large amount of aqueous vapour might be obtained and condensed by cooling sea water. (B) The absorbing capacity of aqueous vapour for sulfur dioxide in air during condensation was also investigated. 100 L. of aqueous vapour (made from 66 ml of water) can absorb one-halh amount of sulfur dioxide in 100 ml of the air containing 4.5-10v/v% sulfur dioxide.
