摘要：Shizuoka Cancer Center Medical Library remains open all the 24 hours of the day throughout the year. Our security system records the number of users and the time of their entrance into the library. We analyzed the records after an interval of three years. The results were similar to the last survey, including the observation that the number of users increased after 18:00 hours. We take the inventory once every two weeks as a countermeasure for running the library without a librarian. We find that some users borrow books without noting it in the computer-based circulation system. We think that the library being open all the 24 hours is of great convenience to the users and that it is necessary for the library to maintain communication with the users and the hospital organization to ensure safety and security.
