  • 摘要:Low glycerol recoveries are obtained when acetic anhydride–acetic acid acetolysis is used to dephosphorylate lecithin prior to glycerol (and fatty acid) analysis by saponification–acetylation and gas–liquid chromatography. Quantitative glycerol recoveries are obtained for both phosphatidyl choline and phosphatidyl ethanolamine when a modified acetolysis using acetic anhydride–trifluoroacetic acid is employed. Modified acetolysis is limited to the analysis of glycerol alone since unsaturated fatty acids are destroyed.
