摘要:Image Compression is a mechanism in which we canreduce the memory space of images which will helpful toincrease storage, transmit and rebuild the images without anyloss of information. Basically, Image compression is the functionof data compression technique on digital images. One of the bestimage compression techniques is performed by wavelettechnique. In this research, Walsh discrete wavelet transformare used to perform the transform of a test image. In this thesis,we show Daubechies wavelet-based “An Elevation of ImageCompression Techniques". The quantitative comparison isconstructed using PSNR and the qualitative comparison is madeusing the Daubechies family (db2-d10) and Compression ratiofactor through the quantization factor values (.05-.5).
