  • 摘要:Results of hundreds of experiments with valves of different resistance dimensions and constructions are in good accordance with theoretical results which shows that theoretical descriptions of valve closing procedures represent a reliable way which should be followed in this field. The theoretical pressure values in the front of a direct air-blast wave have been used to calculate the valve closing time. Since theoretically calculated closing times do not differ from those experimentally measured, it means that simulated parameters of air-blast waves, i.e. parameters of an ABW instrument, have been indirectly verified. The ABW simulation instrument has been described, its calculation has been given as well as the method for experimental determination of shut-off valves closing times.
