  • 摘要:The objective of the proposed work is to design a multilevel inverter for solar energy applications so as to reduce the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and to improve the power quality. To obtain the accurate THD values inclusion of higher order harmonics is essential. A concept of Dual Phase Analysis (DPA) is introduced in this paper. DPA proposes an accurate method to determine the harmonics content in the inverters. A novel concept of application of Heuristic Optimization techniques for estimating the optimum switching angles for the voltage and harmonic control of cascaded multilevel inverters is performed. In this work, neural network based on Gradient Descent Optimization is the preferred Heuristic algorithm. The Neural Network can be trained offline and online. DPA is used in analyzing the harmonic spectrum of the multilevel inverter output. In this paper, the performance of seven level inverters for solar energy application is designed and analyzed.
