摘要:Wireless sensor networks s(WSNs) are the key technology for monitoring and communicating with the physical environment. Data aggregation is the key challenge to make energy constraints of sensor node to increase network life time. Since sensor nodes are densely deployed, redundant data may occur. Clustering the network provides effective solution for such issues and is an important way of managing large number of sensor nodes. We proposed a new Energy Efficient and Connectivity based Clustering scheme for multicast routing in wireless sensor networks named as E2C4. In E2C4, the cluster heads are elected by a probability based on the ratio between ensemble energy consumption of each node and the average energy of the network. The cluster-heads� period will be different according to their initial and consumption energy rate. The nodes with high initial energy and less energy consumption rate will have more chances to be the cluster-heads than the nodes with low initial energy and high energy consumption. In the conclusion, the experimental result shows that E2C4 achieves longer lifetime and more effective messages than current important clustering protocols like LEACH and HEED
