摘要：Iris recognition is a method of biometric authentication that uses pattern-recognition techniques based on high-resolution images of the irises of an individual's eyes. Uniqueness is one of the most important salient features of iris systems. Most of iris systems assume that the pupil and outer iris contours to be pure circle. In this paper, we have found that the inner and outer contours of the human iris are not pure circles. In addition, we have proved that the mathematical formula describing the left side of an eye differs from that describing the right part of the same eye; of the same person.
