摘要:The concepts of equality that were used in the discourses of social and political actors in the Captaincy General and the republics of Venezuela, from 1795 to 1815, were marked, regarding its denotation and connotation, by several precedent and contemporary experiences, mythical or real. Among them the French and Caribbean revolutions, the political principles and structure of the United States of America, and the history of the creation of humanity. How these experiences were used in that context, for the definition of equality and the configuration of its horizons of expectations, is what we pretend to demonstrate in this work.
