摘要:A study is being conducted to automatically identify and highlight course-specific language used in engineering courses. Specifically, the Term-Frequency Inverse-Document Frequency (TF-IDF) algorithm, from the field of computational linguistics, is used to identify words that are characteristic to exams. This paper analyzes the success of a TF-IDF generated word list to capture discipline-specific language in oral design presentations in a second year Environmental Chemistry course.
