摘要：We investigated the content and form, in times of megaevents, public policy sports in a city in Minas Gerais and the possibility of access of the population, especially the working class. Making use of historical materialism was used as methodological tools to search for documents in official organs of the municipal council; visits to neighborhoods of the city and its structures for the development of sports and other elements of body culture, photo-recording and reporting; finally privileged interlocutors were interviewed in order to understand the state of the art of public policies in the city.
