摘要：The goal of this paper was to present some thoughts about the involvement of the government with sport in the context of sport mega-events and about the real “players” of these events. We conclude that considering the battle of interests and power that takes place between different actors involved in these events, the government agenda dos not prioritize sport development. It is concerned mainly with the projection of the image and with the economic development of the country and of some influential groups. In other words, the interests turn more to the political and economic context than to sport.
