摘要：Spain demographic changes are described and compared with its equivalents for other developed countries. Factors producing an increase in the number of people with ages between 55 and 64 are commented, just as the possible causes for not having many older workers in the Spanish labour market. It is also commented why ergonomic analysis can improve older workers employability, especially when the universal design approach is used. It is emphasised that this approach main goal is to make objects and environments accurate for different kind of people (with and without limitations). Main limitations (visual, auditory, motor and cognitive) related to aging process are described, just as some ergonomic interventions useful to compensate such limitations.
