摘要：The core of the article is to analyze the concept of territorial vulnerability, which it is understood as the vulnerability of the binomial territory and society, and it is identified while studying realities in the context of the international assistance. A series of case studies are presented applying a conceptual framework defined by the geographical territorial analysis. The case studies reveal the roots of the territorial vulnerability and help to define the concept. Applying the conceptual framework presented, the article presents a methodological proposal to include the concept of territorial vulnerability in the methodologies used planning international assistance. The methodological proposal includes the territorial approach when conducting need assessments.
