摘要:The Football is a sportive phenomenon that fascinates the world population, mainly in Brazil, recognized world widely by its superiority in sport. In this sense, the present paper objectives to investigate the idol role in the construction of this phenomenon in our country. For that, characters placed in different contexts were interviewed: ex-football players, professional football players and football for blind players. The data analysis enabled to emphasize four categories: Creation, diffusion, idolatry, roles. To analyse and make inferences from the data, the Enunciation Analysis, one of the Contend Analysis technique was used. The relation between the idol and their appreciators is established, mainly, by people who watched them playing, what contributes to the evidence of their image in the social imaginary. Fact that feeds and motivates the cheer passion for their teams, besides cultivating the dream of being a football player in many Brazilian children.
