Case analysis is performed and the study is qualitative and exploratory. The level of innovation is identified, the management modalities are described, and the relationship between the level of innovation and management modalities is established in the cases studied. From the analysis, it emerges that the seven cases correspond to the category of specialty Providers given by Pavitt (1984) and all have a Medium level of innovation with grades between Medium-Low and Medium-High. Regarding the management modalities, common elements could be identified that promote sustained generation of innovation processes. The findings open up new avenues in the search for increasingly specific responses required in this sector with its own peculiarities.
