摘要：Did bow-arms in ancient Greco-Roman palintone shooting machines swing by the outside or by the inside of the frame?. Unfortunately, and in spite of the widespread belief, this question has no definite answer yet. Available archaeological, textual and pictorial evidence has been assembled together and discussed in this paper, so that readers will be able to draw their own conclusions.
