摘要：Events related to bird strike has become increasingly serious. There was an evidence survey on this kind of risk, its origin and connection to municipal solid waste and also the legislation that addresses the subject in a case study on Presidente Prudente Airport in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. This case study ends by identifying the Municipal graveyard as a major attraction area of birds which endangers the landing and takeoff operations. The location very close to the airport field and the fact that the graveyard does not have adequate infrastructure, attract many birds for the airport area, factor representing a high risk to airplanes arriving or departing, due to poor solid waste management, although current legislation already addresses the issue.
