摘要：This study aims at summarizing the literature on Mental Health actions and interventions to be taken in the course of accidents and disasters. Presents and compares the main theoretical models of technique called Psychological Debriefing, the most used front of Critical Incidents, discussing the possible complementarily of this with another technique well discussed, the Defusing. Also examines and compares the Clinical impression, the ICD-10 and DSM-IV about Post-traumatic Syndrome (chronicle or not) establishing the basis to a correct psychological-psychiatric diagnosis. Ends up proposing that the use of Psychological Debriefing is adequate how part of a highest programme in Mental Health that does include Crisis Administration and Post-traumatic care.
