标题：Diagnósticos e medicalização: algumas considerações sobre depressão e subjetividade em Nazaré Paulista, Apa Cantareira, São Paulo, Brasil

摘要：This article analyses the presence of depression and antidepressant use diagnoses in the municipality of Nazaré Paulista that belongs to the Cantareira System Environmental Protected Area, São Paulo, Brazil. Data were collected from the records that exist in the Adult Mental Health Area (n: 252) in the Municipality Health Center from 2003 to 2008. Among the users 65,5% are female, 40% are married, 42% have incomplete primary education and 35% live in rural districts. In relation to the diagnoses it was found 24% of depression, 20,2% of anxiety disorders and 24,9% of medications being antidepressants. It was verified that the diagnoses are above national and international standards. It is important to analyze these results from an interdisciplinary approach that goes beyond the exclusive look of Psychology and Psychiatry, considering both the environmental and cultural context of the city and its residents, as well as other theoretical approaches in the Humanities. from an interdisciplinary approach that goes beyond the exclusive look of Psychology and Psychiatry, considering both the environmental and cultural context of the city and its residents, as well as other theoretical approaches in the Humanities.
