摘要：The tradition of Health Resort Medicine and the use of balneological modalities is very strong in central Europe. The efficacy for many diseases has been shown. However, due to modern trends in the health system, the use of balneology has been reduced dramatically within the last ten to 20 years. However, in other European countries, especially in France, Italy, Spain, Hungary and Turkey, Balneotherapy is more and more supported by scientific research and similar to many Eastern European countries, it is still used for many chronic health conditions.
