摘要:This paper studies the representation of youth identities in videos produced by low income youth. We studied the construction of their identities through the consumption of material and symbolical goods, as they produced audiovisual materials in workshops about techniquesof video production, given by TV OVO, in Santa Maria-RS. The main objective is to investigate the representation of those goods during the production of videos, and to understand how these representations are created. The research consisted of an ethnographic study conducted during the daily routine of TV OVO. Through the description of the routines, we noticed that much of the time and motivation of the youngsters are spent at the hearing and realization of videos. Their Identities are outlined from the media products, being characterized as hybrid, multiple, formed through the processes of deterritorialization, reterritorialization, continuity, rupture, and negotiation.
