摘要:In Morocco, the dominant Islamic school is the Maliki, which rules were gathered after the Independence in the Code of Personal Statute, most com- monly Mudawana. From 1992 changes began to be required in this code, claiming a more egalitarian law between men and women, as well as a substantial improvement in the conditions of the woman in her roles of wife and mother. In 1993, the Code established in 1957 was reformed. Moroccan society began to evolve from this first reform, but the regulations were still insufficient to reach a real juridical equality bet- ween men and women. After new and constant social claims there is approved in 2004 the current Mudawana, that still preserving certain aspects that support the woman in situation of disadvantage with regard to the man, it is not necessary to despise the achieve- ments of this new regulation, being constituted as one of the first legal frames that try to balance the position of the woman with regard to the man. Key words : Women, Education, Morocco, Marriage.
