摘要:The purpose of the research is to determine the administrative behaviour models of twenty state and five private high school principals. Interview questions used in the research were developed by the researcher. The interviews were sound- recorded and written notes were taken simultaneously. Themes and sub-themes were created by analysing the content of transcipted texts of recordings. The level of compatibility of codes was very close to each other. The findings and comments were presented by using quotes from the principals to examplify each theme and sub-theme. In conclusion the principals have been found to be practising "listening to criticism, tolerant criticism, researcher rewarding, against punishment, and communicative" positive behaviour styles. They have also been found to be practising "intolerant criticism, punishing, merciless, against reward, with low level communication skills and interest-centered communication" negative behaviour stysles. Additionally, state and private high school principals have been found to adopt some similar and different administrative behaviour forms in their positions.
