摘要:There are a lot of advantages using museums in social studies education. This study aims to determine teacher candidates' views about using museums in social studies education. This study conducted with 72 teacher candidates in Afyon Kocatepe University, primary teacher education and social studies education department. Data were collected by researchers via a questionnaire which consisted of 9 open-ended questions. Descriptive analysis technique of qualitative research approaches was used for data analysis. Research findings were themed, frequencies whether the teacher candidates' views were direct quotations. Teacher candidates explained their views about using museums in Turkey, museum officials, advantages using museums in social studies education, activities for using in museums and their expactations' about museum officials. The research findings are discussed and recommendations were presented.
