摘要：In 2003, Latina/o immigrants represented 53% of 31.1 million foreign born people in the U.S. (U.S. Census Bureau 2005). Each person migrates for different reasons and motives (Suarez-Orozco and Suarez-Orozco 2001). Immigrants may be professionals, students, political refugees and/or asylum seekers, sojourners, and low-skill laborers (Baker 2002).
