  • 摘要:In this study, we examine the variation of certain physiological and biochemical parameters under the influence of saline stress applied at the beginning of the tallage stadium up to the montaison stadium of two wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) varieties (Ashtar and Salama). Salt stress caused accumulation of proline, soluble sugars and chlorophyll . a ., an increase in Na + content (leaf and root), a decrease in K + /Na + (leaves and roots) and a decrease in levels of K + ,in the roots, and a decrease in levels of Ca 2+ , in the leaves, of the two varieties of wheat. Salinity also resulted in a decrease in the water content, chlorophyll . b . and . t ., the biomass, leaf area and specific leaf area, height and the number of sheets in both varieties. Physiological and biochemical parameters addressed in this study showed a fairly high variability of responses to salinity in both varieties of wheat.
