摘要：The rise of Donald Trump as a serious political contender for the President of the United States has baffled political experts, party establishment, media pundits and ordinary citizens in the US, and captivated the attention of the world. This survey article attempts to provide some of the reasons why Trump has been successful in the Republican Party primaries´ election cycle, and why he is to be taken seriously in his quests for the nomination of his party and thus the Presidency of the United States. The article concludes by reiterating the reasons why Mr. Trump has become the GOP front- runner in these primaries and why he will be a serious candidate for the President of the United States if he is the nominee of his Party.
