摘要:The article analyzes gender verification of sportswomen as one of the surveillance practices present in sports. The main questions are: (1) Whose bodies are under surveillance? (2) What are the latent functions of the surveillance practices? (3) How are these practices perceived inside and outside the sport? The article is based on the author’s research - individual in-depth interviews with sportswomen, coaches and sports activists and representatives of feminist organizations. Its purpose is to draw attention to the issues of gender and sport, which are marginalized in the frame of surveillance studies.
