摘要：More than fifty mudejar palaces and main houses of the nobility have been preserved in Castile, Leon and Toledo. They have been studied with different methodologies and objectives. Moreover, the differences in the quality and state of preservation of the palaces have accentuated the disparity in the number and quality of researches focused each one. In these pages, a general analysis of the different studies devoted to these palaces will be made, following a chronological order, starting in the second half of the nineteenth century, when first scientific investigations were written. Moreover, the main ways of research until the end of the twentieth century will be presented, pointing out which are the new prospects in this field of research.
