摘要：The text provides a sociological interpretation of disability from which is evident that currently in Spain it impllies the posession of a weak and heteronomus social identity imposed by the non-disabled enviroment, and also existence objective conditions that seem to condemn disabled people to be placed in the low positions of social pyramid, as Disabilities, Impairments and Health Status Survey (performed by INE in 1999) data indicate. But this “condemnation” is not enough shaped with empirical information and it would be desirable to develop researchs in order to offer it. In addition, although international normative on new technologies accesibility exists, these technologies constitute another exclusion factor. All this evidence indicates the necessity of a dramatic concience and practice change towards disability.
