Schubert, Klaus

I am pleased to introduce the German Policy Studies/Politikfeldanalyse (GPS/P), an electronic journal published by the Southern Public Administration Education Foundation, Inc., Harrisburg PA, USA (spaef.com).

German Policy Studies/Politikfeldanalyse (GPS/P) focuses on policy research and studies (a) with an emphasis on German speaking countries, issues and studies (and/or) (b) which follow a comparative approach (and/or) (c) which can function as a bridge between the Anglo-Saxon and Continental-European/German tradition in policy research. The underlying argument is that there is some kind of common tradition, focus and problem-resolution in the German speaking countries which - if at all - only slowly adapt to the Anglo-Saxon viewpoints, concepts and developments.

German Policy Studies/Politikfeldanalyse (GPS/P) is a blind peer-reviewed journal and has invited many scholars and experts on policy analysis from Austria, Germany, Switzerland and other countries of Continental Europe to serve on the editorial board. Papers and the development of symposia to provide comprehensive discussion in the area of policy analysis are welcome. This is especially the case for papers which (a) develop new theoretical arguments (and/or) (b) interpret received theory on new empirical basis (and/or) (c) provide new empirical findings (and/or) (d) provide well-argued criticism or evaluation of the work of others.

Please help to improve the journal by sending your comments and suggestions to the editor.
