摘要：Since the last decades of the twentieth century, two methodologies for applied bioethics have been popular – in fact, two methodologies for applied ethics in general – Principalism and casuistry. This essay is a comparison of the two with respect to their similarities and differences. The conclusion is that they are distinct methodological styles, each with its advantages and disadvantages, but not necessarily in conflict. The choice, then, depends on personal preferences.
