摘要：The article discusses the repression of the Araguaia guerrilla, situating it in the logic of the Doctrine of National Security, military doctrine that was modified in the context of the cold war and provided the basis for the repressive activities in military dictatorships in Latin America. Shows the unfolding of the action of the armed forces, particularly the army, in the process of destruction of the guerrillas, their reclassification according to the precepts of the National Security Doctrine and the extermination of the guerrillas. It was also ap-repression of peasants as decommissioning component of the guerrilla movement. In this work we focused on the sources produced by the Armed Forces during the years 1972 and 1973.
