摘要:This text presents the main issues discussed by Professor Bernard Charlot in a lecture given at UFSC in 2002. The author discusses theoretical questions and offers data from his studies about students’ perception of and relationship with schools and knowledge, particularly in low-income neighborhoods in France. According to the author, intellectual activity, perception and pleasure are key issues in education. The results of the studies conducted show that the success and failure of schools are part of a complex process, where different mediations interact. For this reason, research and simultaneous mobilization of various disciplines are important to understand for the unique and social character of these schooling phenomena.
