摘要：The object of this research was to evaluate to which extent the public policies to include deaf individuals into the labor market have been effective, from this minority´s perspective, as well as the market´s and also INES´s (National Institute of Education for the Deaf). The have interviewed all subjects included in the program, transcribed the interviews and fieldnotes, and submitted them to discourse analysis. We inferred that the public policies have not been successful since they have not been acknowledged by the Brazilian society and that the firms have been resistant to hire non-oralized individuals.
