摘要:This arcticle aims to investigate sound representation through literature and cinematographic adaptation. Therefore, it analyses the representation of sound space in its relation with characters’ moods, as well as the construction of identification processes between character and spectator, especially achieved through point of audition procedures. The main goal here is to declare that analysing point of audition procedures means working on a scarcely analyzed narrative tool both in literature and cinema studies. Jane Austen’s cinematographic adaptations will play a central part in this analysis, even though other examples will help establishing the dialogue between sound representation, literature and film.
