摘要:Based on the career literature, the objective of this study was to investigate how individuals evaluate their professional future in the current organization and the relationship between this variable and the respondents’ demographic profile, work well-being and turnover intentions. A sample of 75 employees of different organizations responded to a questionnaire constructed specifically for this survey and to the Work Well-Being Scale (PASCHOAL; TAMAYO, 2008). The content analysis indicated career growth/opportunities and salary/benefits/rewards as the most recurrent categories in the discourse about the professional future. In the quantitative analysis, evaluation of professional future was strongly associated with the turnover intentions; besides, it was predicted by two factors of work well-being (positive affect and achievement). Based on the analyzed data, the paper discusses the results considering the current literature and its implications for the management of organizations.
