摘要:This essay grew out of an empirical research conducted in Cooperativa Agroindustrial Aliança de Carnes Nobres Vale do Jordão – COOPERALIANÇA, and aims to reflect if this same sector cooperatives use economic social and environmental sustainability actions as strategies to their business, or if they are used overweight as strategies for the environment, and in which way they can reconcile or attend to the needs of organizational results concerning competitiveness and sustainability. For this paper, three agro-industrial cooperatives were studied, more specifically the meat cutting sector, that has strategic alliances with producers, meat stores, and retails, as well as an alliance made up of producers, meat stores and retails association. A content review based on this theoretical study was made using empirical analyzes and core concepts of business strategy, the main focus of the strategy is in the environmental school, agribusiness cooperatives and socio-environmental and economic sustainability. In general, the study analyzed legal, health and commercial aspects. Some discussions were conducted on studies of agribusiness cooperatives that operate in the meat sector, and their performance regarding legal obligations and sustainability actions.
